Eastbourne and Lewes council pays tribute to Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh
Eastbourne Borough Council and Lewes District Council has paid tribute to Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh by flying The Union Flag at half-mast.
The flag is flying at half-mast outside Southover House in Lewes and the Town Hall, Bandstand and Redoubt in Eastbourne.
A spokesperson for the council said, “The councillors and officers of Lewes District Council and Eastbourne Borough Council are deeply saddened at the news of the death of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh
“Our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this time.
“Details of an online book of condolence are expected to be published in due course.”
