Eastbourne business crowned with Queen’s award

Identity, the events agency based in Westham, has received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.

Awarded by Her Majesty The Queen following the Prime Minister’s recommendation to businesses for outstanding achievement in international trade, Identity says the award is testament to its dynamic approach to delivering live events throughout the world.

Managing director Michael Gietzen said, “The Queen’s Award is among the most prestigious business awards that the UK offers.

“I am delighted that Identity has been considered a worthy recipient and I want to acknowledge the tremendous efforts of the entire team of more than 100 people at Identity who have made this possible.”

Mr Gietzen said that for more than 20 years Identity has focused on leading the live events sector with creativity, digital development, full in-house production facilities and a logistics team that stretches around the globe.

Over the last 12 months it was responsible for delivering the biggest and most high profile events in the UK which included the NATO Leaders’ Meeting, the Global Conference for Media Freedom, the Get Ready for Brexit campaign; the largest deployment of personnel ever for a UK campaign and winning the Norwegian participation in Expo 2020 – the largest event ever held in the UAE.

He said, “By constantly pushing the creative and innovative boundaries Identity has continued to grow international sales and expand its enviable client base in the live events sector. It achieved a ranking in the latest Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 – the league table that ranks the top 100 British companies with the fastest growing sales.”

Identity has its HQ and 30,000 sq ft of production facilities in Westham and also has offices in Shanghai and Abu Dhabi.
