Eastbourne business Plumbers Mate donates equipment to town’s RNLI station
Yachtsmen and long-time supporters Keith and Leslie Meech visited Eastbourne lifeboat station recently to donate a new weather station to coxswain Mark Sawyer and the crew.
Keith, owner of The Plumbers Mate wholesale store in Firle Road had heard that the existing equipment mounted atop the Martello tower at the entrance to Sovereign Harbour had failed some time ago.
In accepting the gift Mark said that it will be a very useful piece of kit.
