Mel Casey from Eastbourne has been raising money for Cancer Research UK by carrying out the Cold Water Challenge for the 30 days of November. Every day she has been swimming in the sea and has smashed her £150 target, raising more than £600. Geoff Tagliaferro, Mel’s dad, said: "It has taken a lot of motivation and positive thinking to do the challenge, and she couldn’t have done it without the love and support from her family and friends, especially her husband Andrew and her two swim buddies, Anna and Magda."
