'Non-essential' businesses were given the go-ahead by the government to begin reopening from Monday, June 15. From early this morning, queues gathered outside shops like Primark in The Beacon shopping centre. Stores have introduced new social distancing policies in a bid to keep people safe during the covid-19 pandemic. This includes restricting the numbers of people allowed inside, one-way systems, and hand sanitiser.
