Miss Myers said, “They are judging girls not just on their physique. I think a lot of people think because it is a bikini pageant that the girls all have to look a certain way, have a certain figure, but what is really nice about this pageant is that you can literally be any shape or any size.

“It is all about embracing your beauty, your individuality and being authentic. So the judges aren’t just there to see bodies.

“They are there to see flair, they are there to see your personality come through as you walk.”

The winner of the grand final will be crowned Miss Swimsuit UK 2021 and will be offered the chance to represent the country at the world swimsuit finals in Mexico.

Along with the benefits of winning the competition, previous contestants have also talked to Miss Myers about the confidence the pageant has given them.

Miss Myers said, “A lot of girls who have done this show have come out with increased confidence, it has really helped with their mental health. If they have any insecurities, it has helped them overcome that. So it is like a nice personal journey that a lot of the girls go on from being on the show, which is good.”

Miss Myers will be supported in the competition by online retailers A London Boutique and Amora Imahni Boutique as well as beauticians Opulent Beauty.

The Miss Swimsuit UK 2021 competition will also be raising money for the Get Fit 4 Mental Wellness charity that run workshops to help people deal with their mental health.
