Eastbourne youngster’s home-school project has Covid message

An eight-year-old boy from Eastbourne has made a poster about the coronavirus lockdown while working at home with his mum.

Tommy Holden, in year four at Stone Cross Primary School, was asked to create a safety poster as part of his home learning.

He chose to feature the current Covid situation and lockdown, as well as highlighting the ongoing effort by the NHS.

His proud mum Nicola said: “He wants everybody to see how we need to be safe and follow the rules so the children can get back to school, as they’re all missing their friends and teachers.

“He also wants to be able to see his grandparents again, who he has missed.”

Tommy told the Herald he would like the Prime Minister Boris Johnson to see his poster.

Nicola added, “He wants the Prime Minister to see how hard the lockdowns are for children.

“Tommy wants every to be happy and back together safely again.”
