Eastbourne’s 83-year-old Roller Roy walks a marathon during lockdown

Eastbourne man Roy Payton, also known as Roller Roy, is encouraging people to walk to raise money for charity during the lockdown.

Roller Roy is 83 and enjoys roller skating.

He is also a prolific fundraiser for Chestnut Tree House and has raised thousands for the charity over the years.

He has been inspired to fundraise after losing his daughter at just a year old.

Roy has walked the distance of the London Marathon since the lockdown began and is encouraging others to get active do the same.
