The dog, named Max, a Newfoundland, had gone for a quick dip at Buckle Holiday Park in Marine Parade, Seaford, on Friday (March 6), but got caught in barbed wire, HM Coastguard said.

Its owners, Irene and Stewart, called 999 and Newhaven Coastguard Search & Rescue Team and East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service were quickly on scene.
