Further increase in confirmed coronavirus cases and deaths in Sussex

The number of coronavirus cases and deaths in Sussex has increased again.

According to data released by Public Health England, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in West Sussex now stands at 363, with another 301 in East Sussex and 182 in Brighton and Hove.

The number of people who have died from Covid-19 in hospitals operated within Sussex trusts are as follows:

Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – 31 (Trust runs St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester, Worthing Hospital and Southlands Hospital in Shoreham)


Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust – 6 (Trust runs community health services across West Sussex, Brighton and Hove)

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust – 76 (Trust runs Horsham Hospital, Crawley Hospital as well as East Surrey Hospital in Redhill)

Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust – 27 (Trust runs Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath)

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust – 26 (Trust runs the Eastbourne District General Hospital, the Conquest Hospital in Hastings and Bexhill Hospital)
