Good news for video game players with Game stores across Sussex re-opening on Monday

But people won’t be able to browse through the racks due to social distancing rules the company is putting into place.

Video games have seen a surge in popularity with may people choosing to escape into a virtual world during lockdown or have fun with their family.

Game is part of a national chain which offers console deals, new and used video games, accessories and a trade-in scheme.

When it re-opens on Monday 15 the number of customers allowed in a store at one time will be limited and markers will help people maintain the two metre distancing rules.

Perspex screens have been added to tills to minimise contact between staff and customers, says the company and staff have been supplied with masks, gloves, face guards and hand sanitisers.

All trade-in products will be wiped clean with alcohol wipes and traded stock will be isolated for three days before going on sale again.

Customers are being urged to use contactless cards or mobile payments wherever possible.

A spokesperson from Game said: “You will be unable to browse, due to the social distancing rules, but our knowledgeable staff will be able to advise you on any of your requirements.

“We strongly recommend the use of our click and collect or click and reserve services.

“Please be patient with our staff at this time as the trade-in process will take longer than customers are normally used to, but this is to ensure the safety of our customers and staff.”
