Hastings Old Town pub closes a day early to allow staff to spend time with family before lockdown
Popular Old Town pub Ye Olde Pumphouse in George Street made the decision to close a day earlier ahead of the lockdown so that staff could see their family.

The pub announced that it was closing on Tuesday rather than on Wednesday.
A spokesperson for the pub said: “This will give our wonderful staff an opportunity to see their loved ones before lockdown comes into effect on Thursday.
“We apologise if anyone had booked in advance to come and see us and will be contacting them. We hope to see people soon for a Christmas pint.”
