A senior nurse and two healthcare assistants at Red Oaks in Henfield have received prestigious Long Service Awards in celebration of working at Barchester Healthcare for 40 years in total.

Virginia Ramos, Senior Nurse and Palliative Care Champion started at Barchester in June 2004 said ‘what makes a difference is the smile that residents give you every day’.

Kevin Haigh, Healthcare Assistant and Health and Safety Champion started in June 2014 is proud to work for a company that is committed and proactive in the development of staff.

Adele Keenan, Employee Services Director at Barchester said: “I’m always pleased to hear stories about the long service of Barchester staff and am delighted these milestones have been reached. It is dedication like this that ensures our residents are provided with a happy place to live.”

Linda Ryan General Manager of Red Oaks said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating a total of 40 years of loyal service. Jeff Levine, Regional Director presented the staff with their awards. I speak for all of us here at Red Oaks when I say that I’m looking forward to many more years of working with Virginia, Kevin and Andreia.

Red Oaks care home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering personalised care across its care homes and hospitals. Red Oaks provides nursing care and dementia care for 63 residents from respite care to long term stays.
