“During the pandemic there has been a shortfall in screening appointments and fewer cancer treatments which will impact on survival rates in the coming months.

“Throughout autumn our stores will be raising awareness of the need to Stand Up To Cancer by taking innovative treatments from laboratories into clinical trials and hospitals.”

To support this, new shop manager, Chloe Bristow, and her team will hold a children’s lucky dip and other games for children including tick or treat pumpkin, pin the spider on the web and knocking down tin cans, while there will be an adult raffle for a hamper full of goodies.

The shop will also be full of clothes, homeware , Christmas gift ideas and our Cancer Research UK charity Christmas cards.

Yvonne said: “This store is in the quieter end of town and having a tough time at the moment. Chloe Bristow is new and trying hard to build footfall.

“Please support by joining us on the day.”
