Horsham council pays tribute to Prince Philip

‘Deep sadness’ is being expressed by Horsham District Council following the death of Prince Philip today.

Flags are being flown at half mast at the council’s offices at Park House and at the Carfax as a mark of respect.

In a statement, the council said: “The council joins the nation in expressing its deep sadness at this time, as we remember with affection and gratitude the lifetime of service given by Prince Philip.

“The chairman of the council will be sending an official letter of condolence to the Royal family at this difficult time.”

The spokesman added that, due to the ongoing pandemic, an online book of condolence is expected to be opened on the royal website.
