West Sussex County Council plans to ban drivers from making left or right turns from Harwood Road - the B2195 - onto Forest Road.
The temporary ban is expected to come into force on November 1 and last for around five months.
The county council says that it is necessary to enable high voltage mains cables to be installed in the area.
