Hundreds flock to Hastings Pier after it creates the biggest beer garden in town
Hastings Pier has created the biggest beer garden in the area with benches that can seat 600 people.
And the newly opened beer garden was packed on Saturday when local act The Sam Calver Band performed an outdoor concert.
Pier staff reported that the seating filled up quickly during the event.
The beer garden is run as a table service and people can order drinks through an electronic QR code on every table.

Food outlets on the re-vamped pier include The Gourmet Griddle, serving up burgers, and 3 Souls in a Bowl who offer an Asian fusion menu.
There is also an ice cream parlour
The new beer garden space has mean that local bands and artists can perform in front of an audience for the first time in months.
The pier has a line-up of live music throughout the summer and has said that it will be open from 8am - 11pm seven days a week.
This coming Saturday - July 25 - the Pier holds a Funk Jam with DJs from 1pm - 10pm.
