Hundreds of residents were left without electricity in Hassocks today (March 19).

UK Power Networks said due to a fault on the overhead electricity network, engineers needed to turn off supplies to 302 customers in the area.
A spokesman added: “UK Power Networks is working as quickly as possible to restore electricity supplies to ten customers in the London Road area of Hassocks.
“Most supplies were restored by 3.13pm and repairs are continuing to reconnect the 10 remaining properties.”
