Iconic Horsham town centre statue given festive makeover

The much-loved Piries Place donkey has been given a new look to celebrate the holiday season.

Piries Place have built around the cart, transforming it into a sleigh with the help of local children’s festive artwork contributions, gathered by Art K Horsham.

The new art installation is the perfect site for a festive selfie and there will be festive giveaways in the Piries Place square throughout each Saturday of December.

There will also be candy cane stilt walkers with pre-packaged candy canes for children and mulled wine. The event is COVID compliant with full PPE worn and social distancing considered, the organisers said.
