Lorraine and Gary Skilton, from Chichester Road, have been collecting Christmas decorations for about 30 years and have gone above and beyond in brightening their home during the festive season. Gary, 63, said: “The wife does this every year. She loves it so as long as she is happy. We used to do it outside too but one year someone pulled them all down so we stopped doing that.” Christmas decorations hang from the ceiling, surround the windows, adorn shelves and even surround an indoor bar. The lights are turned on in the evening and Gary said the annual project is no longer a weight on the wallet, but there’s still a price to pay. “I haven’t looked at the bill and I don’t want to – we’ll worry about that in January,” Gary said.
