A Shoreham couple who say it was love at first sight have celebrated their diamond wedding.

Mansell Chuter, 81, and his wife Lorna, 86, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at Kingsland House care home, in Kingsland Close, where they are both residents.

They met at a gospel crusade, where Lorna was the singer and Mansell was the preacher, and said ‘it was love at first sight’.

They were married in 1961 and now have three children, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Karen Williams, general manager, said: “We had such a lovely day celebrating Mansell and Lorna’s anniversary. It’s so wonderful to see two people still very much in love after all these years.”
