Published by Penguin, it is about ‘growing up, falling in love, coming out’.

It comes after the bestselling Tracy Beaker author recently revealed she is gay.

The plot for Love Frankie revolves around a 13-year-old girl whose mum is seriously ill with MS.

Frankie can feel herself growing up quickly, no thanks to Sally and her gang of bullies at school.

But Sally turns out to be not-so-mean after all, and the pair strike up an unlikely friendship.

The book’s blurb says, “But Frankie starts to wonder whether these feelings she has for Sally are stronger than her other friendships. Might she really be in love?”
