Organised by personal trainer Esther Featherstone, who lives in the village and works with the charity, the yard sale and kids trail around Lindfield will take place on Sunday, June 6 between 1pm and 5pm.

The event is being held to raise money for Time4Children, a charity that offers support to children, giving them weekly one-to-one sessions where there is the time and space to explore their worries, fears, upsets or anxieties.

Esther said: “The kids trail is just £1 to enter and there’s a goody bag for each child that guesses the correct phrase.

“Each table will have an A4 laminated letter, if they find all the letters and guess the phrase they win a goody bag that they can pick up from Noah’s Ark Lane.

“Here there will be a crafts table for the children to enjoy, tables to peruse and buy second hand treasures and a bouncy castle for the kids to burn off some steam on!

“This is a great way to part with clothes, bric a brac and books that you no longer want and sell to someone that really does want it.

“It’s also great on the environment too - reuse and recycle.

“We are also incorporating Small Business Sunday where the community can sell their homemade goods; from cards, to baby clothes to bespoke gifts.”

Digital maps of the sale and trail will be available from Tuesday, June 1 - visit https://www.facebook.com/events/lindfield-rural/lindfield-yard-sale-in-aid-of-time-4-children/627624404879569/ to find out more.

If you’d like to take part and have a table outside your house there is a £10 suggested donation payable by Wednesday, June 2.

Please note you need to provide your own table.

There is a boozy prize to the house that raises the most money as there is an optional extra of donating ten per cent of your sales to the charity.
