and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Shaun Purdie has worked in some of the biggest clubs in Glasgow where he grew up, and joined the team at internet radio station Urban Essex this year.
From his home in Littlehampton, where he has lived for four years, he will be spinning tunes on one set of decks for 24 hours, from midday on Saturday, May 1, to midday on Sunday, May 2.

“The DJ set will be broadcast via Urban Essex Radio and it can be streamed via multiple outlets, so you can listen wherever you are and whatever you’re doing.”
Shaun started DJing in his teens and enjoyed his time in the clubs but he gave it up when his daughters were born.
As they got older, he moved to Cheshire and began working as a mobile DJ, as well as organising club nights called the Takeover at various venues and as part of music festivals.

“The Teddy Bear Run was set up in 2012 and has raised many thousands of pounds over the years, mainly through automotive events. Shaun is a big car fan and has participated in several events since moving to the area. They also hold regular Cars & Curry nights and other events.
“Supporting organisations such as Chestnut Tree House and local hospices and hospitals is important to Shaun and his family and he hopes that this 24-hour DJ set will help raise desperately-needed funds to help some more families with very sick children have a better quality of life and make some wonderful memories together.”
