“I felt as if I needed to do something useful in the present situation.

“The idea of a sponsored headshave to raise money for my local Foodbank came to mind. So after speaking to the Foodbank they were more than happy to receive any money I raised as their workload had increased considerably since lockdown.

“I set the date for the headshave on Sunday the April 26. I went live so I could generate more money, but I didn’t have any target in mind.

“My son Limahl said he would help me get to £500 so he contacted all his friends and workmates which was a huge help!

“It didn’t stop there though.

“Through generous donations from family and friends I made an incredible £800.”
