Man charged with drugs offences after police search Hove address

Detectives in Brighton arrested a man and seized a substantial quantity of drugs when they executed a drugs warrant in Hove, police said.

The warrant was executed at the Boundary Road address on Wednesday (9 October), and drugs, believed to be both crack cocaine and heroin were recovered, Sussex Police said.

The potential street value is estimated to be at least £30,000, according to a spokesman.

He said some £1,000 cash and drugs-related paraphernalia such as scales were also recovered.

The spokesman added: “Leon Justin Flanigan, 55, unemployed, of Boundary Road, was charged with possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply and appeared in custody at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, October 10.

“He was given court bail and was sent for trial at Crown Court with an initial pre-trial preparation hearing on 7 November.”
