A man was found dead in Rye Harbour yesterday (Sunday, June 5).

Emergency services were called to the scene at 11am.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “Police were called to Rye Harbour due to concerns for the welfare of a man.“Officers attended alongside paramedics, the Coastguard and East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service crews, and the man was confirmed dead on arrival.“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing. The coroner’s officer and the man’s next of kin have been informed.”
