Man seriously injured after fall from cliff in Fairlight, near Hastings
Emergency services attended the scene in Fairlight yesterday afternoon (Thursday, April 23).
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service (Secamb) said: “Ambulance crews attended the scene and the man injured was airlifted by the coastguard helicopter to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford with potentially serious injuries.”

Hide AdA spokesman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) said: “We were called at 3.53pm to attend Fairlight Road, Hastings following reports of a person fallen from height.
“Crews from The Ridge, Battle and Bexhill attended. Our Rope Rescue Team assisted with the recovery of the HART and Coastguard personnel. The casualty was airlifted by coastguard helicopter.”
Sussex Police said yesterday that the man had fallen off a cliff at Fairlight Cove.
Officers located the man and supported the coastguard with a rescue operation to transport him to hospital for treatment, the spokesman added.
“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances,” the spokesman said.
