Man suffers number of broken bones after falling off ledge at Eastbourne hotel

A man was reported to have suffered a number of broken bones after falling off a ledge at an Eastbourne hotel.

Emergency services - including the police, fire service and paramedics - were called to the Grand Hotel, in King Edward's Parade, at about 5am on Sunday (August 2).

On Monday (August 3), a spokesman for Sussex Police said officers were responding to a man who had fallen off a ledge into a basement area at the hotel.

He was reported to have suffered a number of broken bones, police said.

Police left the incident with paramedics, according to a police spokesman.

East Sussex Fire confirmed they were called to the scene to assist police with an incident.

The South East Coast Ambulance Service has also been approached for comment.
