Brighton & Hove and Metrobus Managing Director Martin Harris said: “These service changes are in anticipation of growing passenger demand as the country starts to open up again after lockdown. We are really looking forward to welcoming passengers back on to our buses as things begin to reopen.”

Martin said that the safety measures Metrobus introduced at the start of the pandemic were still very much in place. This included extra cleaning using hospital grade products, social distancing and bus capacity limits. Martin said that every bus also has anti-virus air filters, which remove 99.99% of viruses and bacteria.

“Alongside these safety measures, please remember that it is still very important to wear a face covering over your nose and mouth for your entire journey, unless you are exempt. This helps protect yourself, your fellow passengers and your driver,” said Martin.
