These priority outcomes include boosting local economies, encouraging and sustaining jobs and opportunities, supporting wellbeing, and ensuring heritage play a part in creating better places to live, work and visit.

Ms Davies said: “For many heritage organisations, the last year has been the most challenging ever faced.

“I know that many organisations and projects across the region feel precarious and need support.

“Hats off again to the National Lottery team.

“As the former charities minister, I know how important it is to local organisations to have the support and how much the National Lottery have gone out of their way to help communities. They continue to work with charities across the country and have been a crucial component during this pandemic.”
