Midhurst minister sets up chat and prayer line to bring hope

A 'chat and prayer' line has been set up by a former minister with the aim of bringing hope to Midhurst residetns

Rev David Cootes came up with the idea of offering short conversations and a short prayer with people struggling during lockdown.

He said: "It was a response of mine out of thinking 'is there something I can do to help in this situation?' So I thought I will set up an opportunity for people to ring to have a chat and a prayer in the hope that that would be helpful for them if they are anxious or not coping.
