The Skate Jam was set to take place on Sunday, May 15 but had to be postponed due to bad weather.

Heavy rain on Sunday forced Midhurst Town Council to postpone the event as the skate park was not safe for the riders to go on at the time.

The event was scheduled to take place from 12pm to 4pm before the postponement.

Demonstrations from professionals on scooters, skateboards and BMX would have been on display, as well as the chance for visitors to show off their skillsand win some merchandise.

Midhurst Town Councillor Carol Lintott said: “Having started to set up the Skate Jam, the decision was made to unfortunately postpone the event due to wet weather, the health and safety of all users was our primary concern. “The new date for the skate jam is Saturday July 16.
