Missing boy from Haywards Heath is found

Police launched an urgent appeal this afternoon (Sunday) for a little boy who had gone missing in Haywards Heath.

He was said to be around 12-years-old and wearing red pyjamas, with bare feet covered in mud.

He went missing from the Gravelye Lane and Langmore Lane area of Northlands Wood at 2.30pm today (Sunday).

A major operation was launched and the police helicopter joined scores of officers in the search for the boy.

However, Mid Sussex Police confirmed at 4.15pm the boy has been found safe and well.

The force said on Twitter, “Thanks to everyone looking from [the police helicopter] and everyone else on the ground.”
