Hide AdLewes and Polegate MP Maria Caulfield said, “Every life lost to suicide is a tragic loss but also a tragedy that an individual got to the point where they considered it their only option.
“This World Suicide Prevention Day I want to let anyone struggling know that there are people out there who will listen and will help, whether that is friends and family, volunteer or professional services.
“Even during these difficult times where it has been harder to keep our connections with loved ones there are many ways that we can stay connected and get support.”
Each year has a different theme and focus, to bring to light a specific aspect of suicide prevention.
