Two people in Lancing won £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode in the People's Postcode Lottery.
The neighbours netted the windfall when BN15 8SB was announced as a daily prize winner on Friday, May 8.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her well-wishes to the winners. She said: “What a surprise to get just before the weekend, I hope it has made their day! Congratulations to our winners.”
A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £500 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
This draw was promoted by the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association which has received over £2.2 million in funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery. The charity is known for its iconic guide dogs but also offers a range of services which help thousands of people with sight loss lead confident, independent and fulfilling lives.
It costs £10 a month to play and winning postcodes are announced every day. The maximum amount a single ticket can win is 10% of the draw proceeds.
