Person hospitalised following collision on A27

A person has been hospitalised following a collision on the A27 on Tuesday (June 4), Sussex Police have confirmed.

Sussex Police confirmed that a person was taken to hospital following one of the collisions.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “Police responded to reports of a three vehicle collision on the A27, at Ashcombe Roundabout in Lewes yesterday (June 4) at around 5.40pm.

"One person was taken to hospital for assessment following a medical incident.

"The vehicles were recovered from the scene soon after and the road reopened.

There was also a crash on the A27, involving a lorry and a vehicle which caused further delays.

The spokesperson added: “Police responded to a report that a vehicle had been involved in an collision with a lorry on the A27 in Falmer.

“No injuries were reported and no arrests were made.”
