Person injured in Hastings after ‘falling off cliff’

A person was injured after falling off a cliff in Hastings this afternoon (Saturday, October 17), police said.

Sussex Police confirmed the incident took place this afternoon after the air ambulance was seen landing on the West Hill.

Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service attended as well as East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS).

The air ambulance left the scene just after 3pm.

A spokesman for ESFRS said: “We were called at 2.01pm to assist SECAMB with an incident on Castle Hill Road, Hastings.

“Crews from Bohemia Road attended. We left the scene at 2.55pm.”
