Hercule Van Wolfwinkle, aka Phil Heckels, caught the public's imagination when he doodled a picture of his dog one afternoon and stuck it on Facebook.

He described his work as 'rubbish' but people loved them and people from as far as California and Belgium have been asking him to draw pictures of their pets in return for donations.

He has now been nominated in the Creative Fundraiser of the Year category at the JustGiving Awards 2022, with voting online until Sunday, September 11, and the winners announced at a ceremony on October 10.
