Pictures: Bognor blooms as lockdown restrictions ease

People could meet outside in groups of up to six for the first time in months yesterday as the government lifted another series of lockdown restrictions.

Some unexpected spring sunshine gave residents a chance to make the most of the changes. Residents walked their dogs, worked out in the park, met up with old friends and enjoyed a slight return to normalcy.

Alongside allowing us to meet our friends, the changes also mean the outdoor sports facilities can open, organised outdoor sports can restart and weddings attended by up to six people can once again take place.

Although restrictions on social contact still exist, the government is working on lifting them. As of April 12, pubs and restaurants will be able to serve customers in outdoor areas, gyms will reopen and weddings attended by up to 15 people can take place. From there, the restrictions will become even more flexible on May 17, when people will be allowed to meet in groups of thirty, before being lifted on June 21.
