Police find boy who was reported missing from Hastings secondary school

A boy who was reported missing from a Hastings secondary school has been safely located by officers, police said.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said officers were called to The Hastings Academy, in Rye Road, at 11.14am on Wednesday (January 27).

They were responding to concerns for a child who had been reported missing from the school, the spokesman added.

The boy was located safely by police in Rye Road, the spokesman said, and was returned to school.

An eyewitness reported seeing a large police presence in nearby Churchill Avenue at approximately 11.45am.
