There is increasing concern for the welfare of Stephanie who is believed to have travelled by train to Stratford in East London on the same day and is now believed to be in the Walthamstow E17 area of North East London, say officers.

A public appeal for her whereabouts was issued by police on December 6 and police are now mounting a specially-targeted Facebook appeal in the E17 area.

She is white, slim, 5’4” with very long dark brown and blonde hair, say police.

Chief Inspector Rachel Swinney said: “We have been working with assistance of the Metropolitan Police to trace Stephanie.

“Although there is no evidence that she has come to harm yet, we have increasing concern for her safety because of the lack of contact with her and also because of some of the connections we know she has made with people in that area.

“If you have seen her or have information on her whereabouts, whether you are in Brighton or East London, please contact us or the Metropolitan Police on 101, quoting Sussex reference 308 of 07/12.”
