Police name man killed in crash on A29 near Arundel

A motorcyclist who died after a crash in Arundel last month has been named by Sussex Police.

Police said 60-year-old Allan Young, from Chichester, was pronounced dead at the scene after a collision on the A29 Fairmile Bottom, involving a Suzuki motorcycle and a Ford Tipper van, both travelling north, on Tuesday, August 11.

A renewed appeal for information has today been launched (Tuesday, September 8).

A spokesperson said: “Officers investigating the collision would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision but has yet to come forward.

“In particular, they would like to hear from people who may have captured the collision or the events leading up to it on their dash cam.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact police by calling 101 or emailing [email protected] quoting Operation Oakhaven.”
