Rare red train now operating on Hastings amd Bexhill line

He explained: “A new railway timetable has just been introduced and the Gatwick Express has effectively been removed temporarily because of major engineering work to expand the station at Gatwick.

“Because of this, the traditional eye-catching red Gatwick Express trains which normally work between the airport and Victoria have been redeployed, and, from Monday May 18 now operates on local Ore/Hastings/Brighton services.”

Kevin took the picture on the first day they appeared at Ore, showing the 0835 stopping train to Brighton.
