Readers share their Sussex supermoon snaps

These amazing photos of the supermoon on Tuesday (April 7) were taken by readers from across Sussex.

Skywatchers all over the county were following the pink moon, often known as the supermoon, when it rose into the sky on Tuesday night, The April full moon does not actually turn pink, despite the name – instead, it gives off a pink glow. This is because of two astronomical phenomena, a full moon occurring while the moon is at its closest distance to the earth.
