Rosemary Webb, from Southbourne, has registered with Race at Your Pace, the virtual challenge organisation, and turned her daily walks into a fundraising effort to support the Friends of Chichester Hospitals, to help them provide vital medical equipment.

Jane Ramage, chairman of the Friends, said: “The Friends are delighted to welcome a new supporter. Every £1 really does make a difference.

“Like other charities, the Friends’ income has been hit this year by Covid-19.

“This virtual event is a great idea especially as Rosemary is doing something she enjoys and which helps her keep healthy.”
