Hide AdOut of the 67 new homes, 30 per cent will be affordable housing, providing a mix of rented, shared ownership and First Homes. Miller Homes said the new neighbourhood is the first in the region that will deliver properties to buy under the First Homes scheme, the Government’s new scheme to offer discounted home ownership for first time buyers.
As part of its Section 106 (S106) agreement, Miller Homes will be making a £11,316 contribution towards roundabout improvements on Fontwell Avenue as well as bus stop improvements and a contribution of £1,500 towards a Travel Plan Monitoring Fee. There will also be a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) payment of £480,000 towards local infrastructure improvements including education.
Katrina Crawford, sales and marketing director at Miller Homes Southern, said: “We’re thrilled to have secured planning permission from Arun District Council's planning committee for this exciting new development.
“The Paddock is located in a beautiful part of the country with Arundel and Chichester on its doorstep. It also has brilliant transport links to the A27, connecting the area to the wider south coast, which we believe will open up this development to a wide range of house hunters.”
