Mackie arrived at the RSPCA due to a change in circumstances. The RSPCA said he was a much loved pet and his previous owner was doing the best for him. Mackie is a very friendly, lovely boy who enjoys fuss and attention and can be very enthusiastic with his kisses. He knows how to sit and give both paws and likes to try and sit on your lap for a cuddle. Mackie is a new arrival who is still being assessed at the moment. Photo: RSPCA
6. Darcy - two-year-old Staffie cross
Darcy is a very friendly, bouncy girl who is still very young and will need some training. She enjoys her walks and is equally happy to have a cuddle in her kennel if you can keep her still for long enough! Darcy has been walked with a few other dogs at the shelter and is doing really well. She likes to play with some of them but can be a little worried if they are too bouncy with her initially. 7. Aries - Lurcher crossbreed
Aries is a bouncy and affectionate boy who enjoys being around people. He was sadly picked up as a stray and can take a while to feel comfortable around new people. With a bit of patience, he will soon show his bubbly self. He enjoys playing with his toys, especially ones he can chew on while he settles on his bed. He loves to have a cuddle every now and then, and is happy to show his affection. Photo: RSPCA
8. Star - three-year-old Staffie cross
Star arrived at the RSPCA with five pups in tow and was 'quite shy' when first taken in. However, she has blossomed into a friendly, affectionate girl, according to the charity. She knows how to sit and give paw, enjoys her walks and absolutely loves toys! She can often be seen carrying a toy on walks with her and this also discourages her from picking up the biggest stick she can find! If it was up to Star, she would take all the sticks home with her! She would like to be the only pet in an active home. Photo: RSPCA
