1. Valerie - two-year-old crossbreed
Valerie was very shy on arrival, but is now a much happier girl who enjoys fuss, attention and spending time with you. She is an active girl who enjoys her walks and likes to play with her toys. Valerie would benefit from further socialisation with other dogs as she can be quite worried and vocal when she sees them. She has walked well with other dogs at the shelter after calm introductions. She would not be suitable to live with cats or small animals. Valerie is looking for a calm home environment with access to a secure garden. She will need regular brushing to keep her coat in good condition and will also need visits to the groomers every few months. Photo: RSPCA
2. Hamish - nine-month-old crossbreed
Hamish is looking for an owner with some knowledge of resource guarding who is prepared to continue his training and work with the RSPCA's behaviourist. In general, he is a very friendly, affectionate boy once he knows you and enjoys to sit on your lap for a cuddle, the RSPCA said. Hamish loves playing with his toys and enjoys his walks. 3. Georgia - seven-year-old staffie cross
Georgia is a very friendly, affectionate girl who loves her food and will do anything for a treat! Georgia knows how to sit and give a paw and enjoys her walks. She enjoys playing with toys, especially a ball. Georgia is looking for a home where she will not be left on her own for too long and will need her own garden. Georgia would benefit from further socialisation with other dogs and does have a strong prey drive so could not live with cats or any small, furry animals. Photo: RSPCA
4. Wesley - two-year-old crossbreed
Wesley is a sensitive lad who is very friendly but can be a little shy at first. He is not the most confident and often needs lots of reassurance when out and about. Wesley is starting to come out of his shell and show his cheeky puppy side and we believe once he is feeling more settled he will be a boisterous, bouncy boy. He can be quite worried around other dogs and lacks social skills. He has made some canine friends at the centre but needs slow and well managed introductions. Photo: RSPCA
