Rye fundraisers give Teenage Cancer Trust £30,000 boost
Forty guests attended the event, held at The Wife of Bath restaurant, Wye, where they were served a special three-course meal.
Guests bid on auction prizes and made donations to the charity throughout the evening.

Hide AdLuke McIntosh, 22, from Canterbury, attended the dinner and spoke to guests about his experience as a young cancer patient, inspiring the guests to donate generously.
Mike and Pascale O’Leary and Tony Elliot organized the event.
“Teenage Cancer Trust is such a worthy cause and I know the amazing work they do helps so many young people,” said Mike.
“I was overwhelmed with the generosity and compassion of so many people on the night.”

Hide AdJade McShane, regional fundraiser, Teenage Cancer Trust said the charity is really proud of their Rye Committee and all the hard work they put into this event.
“They are endlessly enthusiastic and their support is invaluable,” she said.
“This £30,000 will go towards desperately needed services for local young people with cancer.”
Teenage Cancer Trust wants to hear from people in the local area who want to get involved and make a difference by volunteering, fundraising or taking part in a challenge.

Teenage Cancer Trust also educates young people and health professionals about cancer to help improve the speed and quality of diagnosis.
